Who we are
The Soil to Bedrock Network is an international community dedicated to advancing understanding of the soil–bedrock continuum. We bring together researchers, practitioners and organizations across disciplines to develop a whole-profile perspective of Earth's near-surface environment, foster collaboration, and accelerate discoveries that improve our understanding of soil systems from the surface to bedrock.

Why does sampling across the soil to bedrock continuum mean and why does it matter?
Most studies stop at the topsoil but critical processes like weathering, water storage, and nutrient cycling happen much deeper. Our recent paper shows why full-profile sampling, down to bedrock, is essential for understanding how landscapes function and respond to change.
